Doug Skoretz

Doug Skoretz is a graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Music Education.  He recently retired from teaching music education for 36 years.  He has taught general, vocal, and instrumental music in addition to teaching drama classes and directing several plays/musicals. Doug was employed at the following places through his 36 year tenure as an educator in the school system:  St. James - Wilkinsburg, St. Rosalia’s - Greenfield, Geibel Catholic High School - Connellsville, Springdale Jr/Sr  High School - Springdale, and Colfax/Acmetonia Elementary in the Allegheny Valley School District.  He has taught students from the ages 3 to 19 in the school settings and has offered numerous opportunities for students in after school music ensembles.

Doug Skoretz has led the Penn-Trafford Community Band since 2013. Doug enjoys conducting and playing with the Penn-Trafford Community Band and playing with the Jazz Warriors.

George Lepsch

George Lepsch is a graduate of Duquesne University, where he earned a Master of Music in Euphonium Performance following a Bachelor of Science in Music Education. He served as a music educator for 25 years, the majority of which were spent as Director of Bands at McKeesport Area High School and Serra Catholic High School.

He served from 2006 through 2015 as assistant musical director for the Pittsburgh Youth Philharmonic Orchestra.

In addition to playing and conducting, George joined the Barbershop Harmony Society in 1973, and directed several choruses to district championships. On the stage, George performed as a member of the "School Board" quartet in the 2004 Pittsburgh Civic Light Opera production of The Music Man. He went on to reprise this role in 2009, performing under the direction of the late Marvin Hamlisch with the Pittsburgh Symphony Pops, then with Mr. Hamlisch and the National Symphony Pops at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C.
