Our mission statement-
remembering the purpose of a community band:

serving the community
-an open and welcoming organization that fosters and encourages the musicians in the community to become involved in developing and sharing their gifts and musical talents for the betterment of the local community.

“Let Us Entertain You” is the motto of the Penn-Trafford Community Band (PTCB), and since its inception in 2008, the PTCB has been entertaining audiences throughout southwestern Pennsylvania, including Westmoreland and Allegheny counties.

The PTCB started as a 20 member Penn Township Alumni Band in late 2007, and through the efforts of several of the alumni band members, the PTCB was formed in early 2008.  The membership has grown to over 60 participants and range in age from 13 to 83, with eight members being talented high school and college students.

The PTCB is one of the newest community bands in western PA as well as one of the most active.  A typical season consists of 12-15 summer (May – Sept) venues and 5-6 Christmas venues.  All performances are “on location”, so we can take our music and talents to where the people live, work, and play.
